Sensory Saturday Art & Play
Many families of children with autism enjoy joining in the other Art & Play activtivies offered that are inclusive of all children whether on the spectrum or neurotypical. Perhaps those activities don't fit your schedule and/or are not the mixed group experience you're looking for. We offer the same Art & Play activities exclusively to families of children with autism. Come out and enjoy the outdoors and activities at your own pace. Let this be a time that the whole family can enjoy each other and make memories. Meet other families with your similar experiences and bond and possibly make new friends. |
Sensory Saturday Art & Play
Sat Nov 16th 11:00am-12:30pm $12 ages 1+ Exclusive to families of children with autism or similar special needs. Parents & Grandparents are always FREE! Mud Kitchen Dig It Garden Chalk It Up Truck Tracks Hop, Skip, & Jump Balance Trail Rhythm and Tunes Paint It Hammer Time Rock Pit Bean Bag Launch Jumbo Building Blocks Shaving Cream Paint Salt Dough Cookie Cutters In addition to all the fun activities, you can walk around the animal pens and see ducks, rabbits, chickens, turkeys, goats, potbelly pigs and horses. Feel free to bring celery sticks and carrot sticks to feed the animals. |
Activities are age appropriate for kiddos aged 1-6. But, all ages love seeing and feeding the animals.

GUIDELINES
-This activity time is purposed for experiencing together as parent/caregiver with child. Drop off of child is not allowed. Parent/caregiver must attend with child and are responsible for child during the time attending. - Pre-payment must be completed in order to confirm your spot. Prior to attending, please read the Waiver and Liability Release below. -‘No shows’ will not be given a refund nor monies applied to a future event. - As we all know, weather changes quickly here. It can be raining one minute and then have sunshine the next and vice versa. If cancellation is necessary due to extreme weather, we will give notice by 6 am prior to the event. If cancellation is made, then a full refund will be issued or a parent may choose a future event to apply monies to. - Please dress comfortably and in clothing/shoes that can get dirty. Your child will be getting dirty. A water hose will be available for spraying your child clean. Bring a towel and change of clothes for your child. -Consider bringing water and snacks, sunscreen, bug spray, hand sanitizer and any other items you may need. |
UPON ARRIVAL
-One Acre Farm’s physical address is 3416 Magnolia Dr., 77365 -Park along the road in front of the farm. We suggest parking only one set of tires on the grass of the ditch. The ditches often remain wet and you may get stuck if you park all four tires in the grass. -Inside the main gate, there will be a table with the Waiver and Liability forms, pens and a box. If this is your first time at the farm, complete and sign the form and place inside the box. If you have attended an activity before, we still have your form on file and a new one is not required. -Follow the signs and arrows directing you to the activity area. -There will be a table for you to place your belongings. -You and your child can begin with any activity and cycle through them as your child’s interest guides you. -While there will be a time of welcome after everyone arrives, prior to that please feel free to introduce yourself and your child to others. |

AGREEMENT, WAIVER AND RELEASE

In consideration of being permitted by One Acre Farm,One Acre Farm Educational Foundation, Catherine Griffin, Nicole Jones and other staff/volunteers, to participate in activities at One Acre Farm and One Acre Farm Educational Foundation, I hereby waive, release and discharge any and all claims for damage for personal injury, death or property damage which I may have, or which may hereafter accrue to me, as a result of participation in activities at said facilities. This release is intended to discharge in advance, One Acre Farm, One Acre Farm Educational Foundation, Catherine Griffin, Nicole Jones and other staff/volunteers, from any and all liability arising out of or connected in any way with my/our participation in activities even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of those parties. It is understood that activities as the ones I will be participating in involve an element of risk and danger of accidents and knowing those risks, I hereby assume those risks. It is further agreed that this waiver, release and assumption of risk is to be binding on my heirs and assigns. I agree to indemnify and to hold harmless,One Acre Farm, One Acre Farm Educational Foundation, Catherine Griffin, Nicole Jones and other staff/volunteers, from any loss, liability, damage, cost or expense which they may incur as the result of my death or any injury or property damage that I may sustain while participating in any activity at this facility.
I understand that by participating, all participants consent to photo images taken during activities to be used in any or all publications and websites related to One Acre Farm, One Acre Farm Educational Foundation, Catherine Griffin, Nicole Jones and other staff/volunteers.
