Rhythm & Tunes (ages 4-6)
All of childhood is a time of exploration, learning, assimilation and mastering of skills. Children love to move, run and dance. Exploring with sounds, rhythm, movement and music is essential to children's development in areas including cognitive, social and emotional and language growth. In fact, the many benefits are almost innumerable and supported by much scientific research.
At One Acre Farm, we believe young children thrive being outside with nature, running, playing, exploring, experimenting, and getting dirty. This guided musical experience is provided in a 'yes' environment for the preschoolers experiment and learn. There is no wrong way to play or experiment with the activities. In fact, we try to encourage toddlers to have freedom to be creative and use items in unexpected ways. |
We are excited to add this new program for 2020. A local music teacher and accomplished musician will lead and guide your preschooler through creative, interactive and fun activities using a variety of items and methods. If your child loves to bang on things and make noise, then this activity is for them. Come bring them out to make noise out at the farm.
This is not a drop off program. You must remain on the property during the session. You can choose to participate with your child or choose to sit and watch and allow them to participate independently. |
